Ruleset 202
A club may employ several scouts, assistant coaches and physiotherapists, as many as its facilities and budget allow; the best leads and each further one adds less.
What changed in Dawgin, who helped, and what we know is broken.
A club may employ several scouts, assistant coaches and physiotherapists, as many as its facilities and budget allow; the best leads and each further one adds less.
The transfer-list auction is retired; a manager who leaves no longer has bids to suspend.
Every club may bid for a wanted free agent, and each market round the player turns down all but the three best offers.
The transfer list takes offers instead of an auction: a club accepts, refuses or names its price, and the player chooses between the clubs it accepted.
A player choosing between offers now also weighs how strong the league is, how many minutes his role promises, and, if he settles slowly, playing at home.
A selling club can now answer an approach with a price of its own, up to twice. The buyer can pay it, offer more, or walk away. A club run by the game names its price once and refuses after.
The referee's violations are named in the play-by-play: three seconds in the lane, stepping out of bounds, a backcourt violation and a double dribble join travelling and the shot clock. Fewer good ball handlers travel. How often a team turns the ball over does not change.
The Finances pages gain a payroll guide line: what the club pays its players, staff and manager is shown against 70 % of the income the season was planned on. It refuses nothing.
AI clubs no longer all chase the same few free agents: a free agent who already has offers from three other clubs is passed over for the next name, so AI squads fill again.
You are now told six hours before tip-off when you have no lineup set for a match, and the board can be asked to expand the arena by 500 seats once your last five home crowds have filled at least 90 percent of it.
Computer-run clubs now build their training grounds and medical centres too, at the board's price, as far as their league's level allows and only while they keep six weeks of wages in hand.
Debt now has a consequence. A club over its debt ceiling for two weeks goes into administration: its players are listed for sale, its academy is frozen and it cannot register new ones. Four more weeks over the ceiling and it is bailed out, its best players are sold and a manager loses the job.
Larger leagues now send eight clubs to the playoffs: a single-game quarterfinal at the higher seed, then best-of-three semifinals and final. A running season changes only when the owner of the world applies it.
Players can be given roles, from first option to energy off the bench, and the match plays them. Clubs can ask the board for a training ground and a medical centre. A winning or losing run moves the crowd for two weeks, and an agent can now speak out about a contract.
A manager who signs a player who becomes one of the best quarter of the league within two seasons, for less than the usual fee, grows as a scout.
Two more ways for a manager to grow: buying a player for less than the player is worth sharpens negotiation, and a club worth at least a tenth more at the end of the season than at its start sharpens finance.
The public roadmap opens: what is being built, what is done and what might come next, with a vote on each open item. No game rule changes.
The season is six weeks: 28 days of regular season with at most one league match a day, a cup week on days 14 and 15, eight days of playoffs and six of offseason. A season earns, costs and develops what it did before, so weekly figures are two-thirds of what they were, and a world keeps its calendar for life.
A new manager now gets a welcome sponsor: a one-off grant of 25 000 to the first club they take over in a world, whether or not they were invited.
Clubs can agree a sell-on: when you sell a player, you can keep a share of the fee his new club gets when it sells him on, from five to twenty-five per cent. A club run by the game takes less for him, or pays less, in return.
